From Oaks Ranch

The Oaks is looking fresher and greener than ever as we’ve entered a new season. The wattle and other native plants are in flower!

The golf course is also better than ever before (so we have been told by our keen regulars) and the horses have welcomed back their good friend "Bianco" for the trail rides and "Possum" for the pony riders. Both horses were born here at the Oaks Ranch.

The Beaches are always stunning and only two minutes away…Why not try your hand at surfing? We can arrange bookings and transfers for the nearby Broulee Surf School, which caters to all ages and abilities.

Warm wishes,

Ben & Sabine

From the Green Keeper

The Oaks gets its name from the many 'She Oaks', lining each fairway.

The greens are small and with undulating surrounds, provide a real test of your shot-making abilities and water hazards affect at least three holes, snapping up the errant shot!

The 9th hole from the back tees, requires a long carry over the water just to reach the fairway. Once you are over the water you also need to avoid the huge fairway bunker that hugs the entire left side of the fairway. It is definitely the toughest hole on the course, especially when there is an easterly blowing! There are also plenty of very well placed bunkers around the course to catch you out.

The course has undergone numerous improvements recently including new tees and bunker additions. This, along with major greens renovations, has the course in excellent condition!

The scenery around the course, with its many species of wildlife and the resort facilities available within our Country Club provide for a great day out, even for the non-golfers in your group.

We welcome you to come and inspect our unique and 'challenging' facility – one of the best-kept secrets on the South Coast that is fast making a place for itself on the 'golfing' map!

From the Stables

Listen!... Do you hear the silence?... So where are the horses?… They're not hanging around looking for hay – is something wrong?

We've had a ripper season. The grass is nice and green. Now I see the horses - way down the paddock, heads down munching happily. I'd pass up hay for fresh, green grass too. And don't they look handsome with their new summer coats. How fit and healthy they look – in full swing for this coming season. "Keep eating guys", you will need your energy.

The mummy roos are looking well too, and kicking their joeys out of the pouch to make room for the newborns. The joeys are soooo cute! I'd love to cuddle one.
